Government Arts College (Autonomous) , Karur has been awarded with B+ status by NAAC on reaccreditation process.

            The college is accredited with B+ status by NAAC on May 21, 2006.

            The college is conferred with Autonomous status from 2007-08.

            The UGC has sanctioned Rs.25 lakhs for building a women’s hostel.

            EDUSAT programme is started in the college at the cost of 2.5 lakhs.

            Digital Library is functioning in this college. This is one of the six Govt. colleges where digital library is functioning.

             The College functions under shift system. The morning shift starts at 8.30 a.m. and evening shift starts at 1.15 p.m.
