Government   Arts   College,   Karur   has   been    awarded   with B+  status  by NAAC on reaccreditation process.

        The college is accredited with B+ status by NAAC on May 21, 2006.

        The college is conferred with autonomous status from 2007-08.

       The UGC has sanctioned Rs.25 lakhs for building women’s hostel.

       Educate programmed is started in the college at the cost of 2.5 lakhs.

       National Resource Centre is started with the UGC an assistance of Rs.10000.

       A free IAS/IPS coaching programme is permitted by the Department of HARIJAN Welfare, GOVT.OF TAMILNADU to coach sc / st candidates.

      Digital Liberary is functioning at our college. This is one of the six govt. colleges where digital library is functioning.
