Admissions are made on merit basis. The college follows the reservation policy as stipulated by the Government of Tamil Nadu (OC quota = 31%, BC quota=30%, MBC / DNC quota=20%, SC/ST=(18+1)%) students who excel in sports and candidates belonging to the family of Ex - servicemen, the Physically handicapped category are given special reservation at the time of admission. Local candidates are given additional ten marks for admission.

         From '07 - '08, single window system is introduced. Counselling was done on three days, one for Arts, one for Science and another for commerce courses.

        From '07 - '08, additional classes are started for B.Sc. ( Computer Science ) and B.Com courses as there is a heavy demmand.
